520 The Shadowing forth of Lord Lucifer, as the Powers gather
at a midnight mass.
520 Three orbs appear before the main title. The film proper
begins with a close-up of Anger standing before a star-
patterned backdrop. He gazes at a naked man reclining on a
divan. Appropriated footage of soldiers leaping from a
helicopter is cut in. Implying that war is a ritual like
any other, the next scene shows young people passing
around a marijuana cigarette and playing instruments. A
robed figure appears in smoke, waving a wand. A close-up
of a spider tattoo is shown, then a ritual with a ram's
head and magick symbols is performed. A man dressed as a
devil enters the ceremony, followed by footage of men in
leather jackets (a group of Hell's Angels). The Nazi flag
is used in the ceremony. People in costumes and robes
playing instruments walk down a staircase. This is
followed by quick cuts of Mick Jagger performing at a
concert before a wild throng--a rock concert can be a
ritual like any other. The film ends with a naked young
man standing, arms outstretched, with a spiral projected
on his body. The soundtrack throughout the film consists
of manipulated white noise, sounding at times like gunfire
or a siren.
