Notes
  • Release date: 06/15/1958.
  • Literal title translation: The ghost cat's cursed wall.
  • Audie Bock comments that, "Misumi's 12th film, his second in 1958, is a hastily made item for a Saturday kiddie matinee. Ghosts, curses, a vampire cat-woman and unmistakable good guys and bad guys chase each other around in a blur of zoom and traveling camera shots. The action may not be coherent, but there is plenty of it, and the swordfighting scenes are excellent. The film is perhaps most interesting for the glimpse it provides of Katsu Shintarō in his screen image prior to the Zatōichi blind swordsman series -- as Takeuchi, the dashing young hero."
  • Pacific Film Archive collection; non-circulating. CBPF.
  • Director of photography, Aisaka Sōichi ; art director, Ōta Seiichi ; music composer, Takahashi Ban ; sound, Okumura Masahiro ; lighting, Nakaoka Motoyoshi.
