520 Madeline lives in Paris with her eleven little companions
and a matron. Madeline is scared neither of mice nor of
tigers, and she is mischevious. Midway through the film
she comes down with appendicitis and is rushed to the
hospital. She receives flowers and gifts, and shows her
scar to the other girls. The film ends with the eleven
other girls crying to their matron at night, wishing they
could have their appendix out as well.--Peter De Domenico,

Jun 13 Peter De Domenico; scratches; sprockets; splices;
Good condition: color excellent; scratches heavy at
beginning and end, and moderate throughout; sprockets
slightly pushed out (went through a projector with
different pitch?); sprocket notch at 175 ft.; sound
quality good; 19 tape splices within print (see
cataloger's inspection report for splice footage points);
many splices between 200 and 206 ft., so much so that the
missing frames make the dialogue disjointed; tape splices
are old and have gaps between frames, so that the film
wound under the splices are sticking to the tape; no edge
