520 News program with focus on Terezin, a Nazi holding camp
that was used as propaganda by the Nazis to promote a
sense that they were treating Jewish detainees well. A
large artist movement was centered there, with artists
depicting the horrors of life in transit to concentration
camps. The haunting images were part of an exhibition at
the Drawing Center in New York, Seeing through "Paradise."
It was shown at the Berkeley Art Museum January 25-March
15, 1992.
