The next shelf had a 21-inch monitor. On top of that was an 18-inch monitor, and on tope of that was an 11-inch monitor. The obelisk played two channels of video... So it was, at least in San Francisco and probably even in California, the first multimonitor, multitrack, videotape performance work." Skip Sweeney interview, California video: artists and histories. This tape, which was part of the obelisk piece, contains the following segments: excerpt from an unidentified western movie; Morgan Hill, California 4th of July parade; off-air tape of Richard Nixon giving sppech on Viet Nam and the war, Interim report on southeast Asia; outdoor concert featuring the band, Capt. Trucker and a political skit about air pollution given by students from San Jose State University. 538 Betacam SP NTSC. 590 PFA 0503-01-13530. |aCONDITION NOTE: Last checked: 2009/05 /04 major dropouts in first segment; dropouts throughout. 590 PFA 0503-01-13529. |aCONDITION NOTE: Last checked: 2009/05 /04 major dropouts in first segment; dropouts throughout. 650 0 Video art. 655 7 Personal/independent works.|2mim 655 7 Television.|2mim 700 1 Sweeney, Skip,|edirection,|eproduction. 700 1 Nixon, Richard M.|q(Richard Milhous),|d1913-1994.|tSpeech. 710 2 Electric Eye. 710 2 Video Free America. 941 0 PFA 0503-01-13530.
