500 Title taken from videotape compilation of Cha's short
films. The first word that appears onscreen in the film is
"ripples," but the film is referred to in the Dream of the
audience book as "an untitled video." It is unclear
whether ripples is in fact the title.
500 Date and other filmographic information taken from "The
dream of the audience."
500 Text of poem follows, though there is no punctuation in
the film. Using the convention in "The dream of the
audience," periods represent hard image cuts, and commas
represent camera pans between words: "ripples. gone.
going. go again. gone. far. farther. far again. farther
gone. going again. farther again. far. never. return. gone
to return. going never, never to return. never. return to.
go again. never. return to. far again, farther. gone. far
gone never. never again far. never again, farther. return.
return far. farther. again. return. gone never. going
never. never go. never."
