: Invasion! The most terrific air bombardment ever
unleashed upon occupied France! -- Roads, bridges, planes
and airfields are destroyed! -- June 6, 1944 D-Day! --
Men! -- Gliders! -- Munitions! -- Embarkation! -- Across
the English Channel goes the mightiest military force in
history -- 4000 ships--11,000 planes! -- H-hour! United
States and British Naval ships silence Nazi coastal
fortifications! -- Under deadly cross fire our assault
