520 Infuriated subway riders scramble through turnstyles and
exit doors, refusing to pay a 50% fare increase. Subway
workers rap with riders about the terrible working
conditions. The film analyzes the Transit Authority's
disastrous bonding schemes. A prophetic film, and a good
expose of the "legal" corruption which sees the taxpayer's
pocketbook as a bottomless guarantee of bondholders' (that
is, the big banks') profit--the fiscal policy which
threatens city governments across the country with
imminent bankruptcy.
