Notes
  • Release date: 04/21/1959.
  • Akiko Mikumo comments that "Tanaka Shigeo's 131st film, based on a story by Kawaguchi Matsutarō, a writer and a Daiei executive, has a silly plot with juvenile acting, with the exception of Kyō Machiko, whose talents are grossly wasted here. Kawaguchi Hiroshi, the "enfant terrible" of the late '50s, is unconvincing as an artist or a lover in this film written by his father. Yamamoto Fujiko's passion for Hideo is as real as her mediocre talent for singing, which the film honors with three sentimental tunes."
