Award-winning films at the fifth Canadian International Animation Festival in tonight's program are: For films longer than 5 minutes, Paul Driessen's Spotting a Cow (first prize), and Borge Ring's Anna and Bella (second prize). For films shorter than 5 minutes: Ferenc Rofusz's Gravity (first prize) and B. Vaclav's Black and White (second prize). For First Film, Jon Minnis' Charade. Special Awards include Marv Newland's Anijam, “for concept, execution, and just for the fun of it! An animator's delight.” (Also to Hu Jinquing's Snipe-Clam Grapple, included in the Zagreb program November 16, for “exquisite design and animation.”) Grand Prize went to Jerzy Kucia's Chips.
