UC Berkeley students from the course Creativity in Practice—taught by Professors Greg Niemeyer of the Berkeley Center for New Media and the Department of Art Practice and Lisa Wymore of the Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies—perform several of Fluxus artist Alison Knowles’s provocative event scores. Knowles, the subject of the current retrospective by Alison Knowles, created event scores that involve simple actions, ideas, and objects from everyday life, recontextualized as performance. The Creativity in Practice course introduces students to the interdisciplinary role of creativity in all human endeavors.
