Visualizing the World: The New Reporting from the UC Berkeley Journalism School
Join us for a look at today’s golden age of media innovation and reassembly, which allows us to bring complex issues to more people and with greater impact than ever before. This free evening is a visual tour of outstanding work from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism using such techniques as drone photography, 360-degree video, and animation. You’ll see dramatic personal narratives and data visualization, as well as still photos and clips from documentaries. This is contemporary journalism in lively, colorful form, and a rare chance to mingle with J-School students, faculty, and alumni and see some of our most compelling work. Come be inspired!
With presenters from the Graduate School of Journalism: Edward Wasserman, dean and professor; Richard Koci Hernandez, associate professor; Monica Lam, alum and lecturer; and Ken Light, Reva & David Logan Professor of Photojournalism.
