Five Tables of Fashion

The study tables transform into a catwalk this month as we showcase art dressed to the nines. Among the photographs featured are two by Zoe Leonard—Frontal View, Geoffrey Beene Fashion Show and Iolo Carew Wearing My Slip; Glen Friedman’s Jello Biafra, Dead Kennedy, LA July 1982; Catherine Opie’s Alistair Fate; Andy Warhol’s Caroline, Princess of Monaco; and a portrait of a royal Nepalese couple in formal dress. Plus Zeng Qing’s painting of a Chinese scholar, Abraham Walkowitz’s drawing of Isadora Duncan, and other stylish works on paper.
