Starting Monday, December 2, 2024, BAMPFA is introducing new membership tiers and admission pricing to make art and film accessible to a wider range of communities.

Our new membership program begins at just $40 per year. The Basic Membership tier pays for itself in just three visits, and includes free gallery admission, half price film tickets, and exclusive discounts at the BAMPFA Store.

Standard, Plus, and Premium membership tiers are also available, with expanded benefits like access to discount film tickets for guests, invitations to exclusive events, and reciprocal benefits at other institutions.

Our general admission fees and film tickets will increase to $18, which will help ensure that BAMPFA can continue to serve our community with vibrant art and film programs.

At the same time, we are expanding opportunities for discounted and free entry. We're proud to advance BAMPFA's commitment to serving diverse audiences through a new partnership with Museums for All. Visitors can present their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards at the admissions desk to receive free gallery admission and $5 film tickets for up to four attendees per card.

We are also introducing discounted admission for all UC students, faculty, and staff, veterans and active duty military, and members of several reciprocal organizations (including the California Associations of Museums, the International Federation of Film Archives, and SAG-AFTRA).

We will continue to offer discounted admission to senior citizens 65+, visitors with disabilities, youth, and UC Berkeley retirees. UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff will continue to receive free gallery admission and discounted film tickets.

All changes will be effective Monday, December 2, 2024. Film tickets for programs scheduled after December 2 will reflect our new pricing.
