BAMPFA continues to invite musical collaborators to create new works during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of our favorite artists from the Bay Area and from afar perform from home while sheltering in place, keeping us connected through music.

Prodigious percussionist Kevin Carnes, along with friends and family, created this video, a meditation on what pandemic isolation means in musical and social terms. It features contributions from Carnes, Brandi Brandes, Marley Melody, Jodi Power, Shelly Olsen Wolverton, Brenda Kahler, Tan Khan Cao, Hanna John Taylor, Isaiah Collier, Micah Collier, Poppa Scott, and Micah Buffat.
