World Cup, Dancing in the Streets, and East Bay Movie Premieres on BAMPFA's Big Screens

The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill screens July 21

Summer's here and the time is right for dancing in the streets . . . or at least watching a fabulous dance film on our colassal outdoor screen on Addison Street! Our outdoor screen also lights up bright and early on Sunday, July 15 as we bring you the FIFA World Cup Final live at 8 AM. Babette will be on hand with a screenside pop-up cafe to keep you caffeinated.

Late summer screenings in the Barbo Osher Theater include a BAMPFA collection print of Kon Ichikawa’s Harp of Burma, the East Bay premiere of Bertrand Tavernier’s delightful documentary My Journey Through French Cinema,  Saturday matinees for all ages, Sunday Summer Cinema on the outdoor screen,  and the return of a BAMPFA favorite, The End of the Ottoman Empire.

Read on for some highlights of our late-summer special screenings, and view the full calendar here.
