Rubika Shah is a writer/director and Screen International Star of Tomorrow whose films have screened at Sundance, Berlin, Tribeca, and Hot Docs; White Riot was showcased in the “Great 8” at Cannes 2018. Her mini-documentary about David Bowie screened in UK cinemas through Picturehouse and was featured in The Guardian, Rolling Stone, and i-D Vice; Shah is currently working on an expanded version.
V. Vale is an editor, writer, interviewer, and musician. In 1977 he founded Search & Destroy, San Francisco’s first punk rock publication. Published at City Lights Bookstore, where Vale worked, it was funded with $100 each from Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Allen Ginsberg. In 1980 he launched RE/SEARCH, a periodical chronicling underground culture. He recently released Lockdown Lullabies, a twelve-song digital album recorded with his wife, Marian Wallace.
