Quilting is a communal act, bringing individuals together to think about the convergence of personal and collective memory while creating a meaningful, inclusive object. In this alienating time, coming together in any way we can is more important than ever. This virtual workshop for all ages is a chance to collaborate on a community-based patchwork quilt. Register in advance to receive fabric pieces and basic supplies in the mail before the workshop; afterward, artist Nelli Astvatsatrian will collect participants’ patches and assemble the quilt to share on the BAMPFA website and social media.
