Duets in Social Distance: Isaac Pastor-Chermak and Alison Lee
BAMPFA continues to invite musical collaborators to create new works during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of our favorite artists from the Bay Area and from afar perform from home while sheltering in place, keeping us connected through music.
East Bay musicians Isaac Pastor-Chermak, cello, and Alison Lee, piano—a couple both onstage and offstage—teamed up for this exclusive performance of Beethoven’s Cello Sonata in C Major, op.102, no.1, celebrating Beethoven’s 250th birthday in December 2020. Lee and Pastor-Chermak have been performing together regionally and nationally as a duo—and as two-thirds of the piano trio Ensemble 1828—for the past five years.
