16mm Cameraless and Direct Animation Filmmaking with Low Light/Black Hole

In this workshop led by members of Oakland’s Low Light/Black Hole darkroom collective, use constructive and destructive processes such as painting, collage, bleaching, and scratching to create a work of art directly on the surface of a 16mm film strip. Repurpose found film materials or make your own new creations. Visitors’ film strips will be projected at the end of the session.

This workshop is limited to twenty participants.
