Reading: Allan deSouza

Allan deSouza, interdisciplinary artist and chair of the UC Berkeley Department of Art Practice, introduces and signs his new book How Art Can Be Thought. In it, DeSouza examines how we describe and evaluate if art is good, and if it is for the social good. He offers an analytical glossary of common terms used to discuss art, focusing on both their current usage and how they may be adapted to new artistic and social challenges.
