The second in a series of readings celebrating The Acentos Review’s tenth anniversary. Bronx-born Nuyorican poet Fish Vargas has been a featured performer at Cornelia Street Cafe, the Universal Hip-Hop Parade, and the Kosmopolis Literature Festival in Barcelona. Susana Praver-Pérez is a poet and memoirist, cofounded the monthly salon La Tertulia Boricua, and is associate medical director at La Clínica de la Raza in Oakland. One of the Bay Area’s most prolific and dynamic MCs, Rico Pabón has performed with Bay Area legends Linda Tillery and John Santos, as well as fronting the groups Prophets of Rage and O-Maya.
