MadCat is a showcase of cutting-edge experimental and independent films and videos by women from around the globe. Every year, MadCat seeks to exhibit provocative and visionary works that are original in their use of the medium. MadCat was selected as one of the San Francisco Chronicle's "101 Reasons Why We Love the Bay Area"; the Bay Guardian has hailed it as the Bay Area's "Best Film Festival (That Still Caters to the Underground)," noting that "the films are top-notch; they're so creative, in fact, that you wonder why all movies aren't made for the art of it."
