Two of the Bay Area’s most innovative and provocative ensembles come together for an action-packed evening with music by Samuel Adams, Star Amerasu, and Nicole Lizée, featuring excerpts from dance works in progress choreographed by Robert Dekkers and Vanessa Thiessen.

Post:Ballet was founded in 2009 by Artistic Director Robert Dekkers, named “25 to Watch” by DANCE Magazine after the company’s inaugural season, with a vision to experiment with eclectic artists, using dance as a means for creative expression that takes chances, pushes boundaries, and challenges social norms.

Called “outstanding” by the San Francisco Chronicle and “a fully distorted perpetual motion of awesome” by I Care If You Listen, The Living Earth Show (guitarist Travis Andrews and percussionist Andy Meyerson) is a megaphone and canvas for some of the world’s most progressive artists. One of the premiere contemporary chamber arts ensembles in the United States, The Living Earth Show has commissioned and premiered over 60 new works by some of the most vital composers in the world and has released two critically acclaimed albums.
