Beth Krebs is an artist and educator with an MFA from Rutgers University. When not working on her own art projects, she can be found teaching school groups at the de Young Museum and adults at the San Francisco Art Institute.

After a gallery tour featuring Harvey Quaytman’s shaped canvases and experiments with pigments, try your hand at applying color to paper shapes that you have invented or traced. Choose your favorite results from your own experiments to create an abstract composition.

About Gallery + Studio
On the second Saturday of each month, Gallery + Studio connects art viewing with art making in ways that engage both young people and their grown-ups. Each two-part workshop integrates an interactive gallery tour with a related art project, and lasts about an hour and a half. Sign up onsite beginning fifteen minutes before the session you wish to attend. Space is limited to twelve kids per session; please arrive promptly to sign up.
