Claudia Tennyson holds an MFA from the California College of the Arts. She is inspired by the potential found in the simplest of materials and by interactive projects. She currently teaches at the de Young Museum and the Cedars of Marin Barn Studio.

Artist Frederick Hammersley used the grid as a starting point for his lithographs of squares within squares. Inspired by the repetition and layering in his work, discover your own rhythmic compositions using woven papers and stamp-based printmaking.

About Gallery + Studio
On the second Saturday of each month, Gallery + Studio connects art viewing with art making in ways that engage both young people and their grown-ups. Each two-part workshop integrates an interactive gallery tour with a related art project, and lasts about an hour and a half. Sign up on site beginning fifteen minutes before the session you wish to attend. Space is limited to twelve kids per session; please arrive promptly to sign up.
