Gaby Ramirez Howard loves volunteering at the local animal shelter. She plays with the kittens and writes adoption advertisements. Her flyers help the cats and dogs there find homes where they’ll be loved and cared for, no matter what. Gaby needs a forever home, too. Her mother has recently been deported to Honduras and Gaby feels lost. Meanwhile, her favorite shelter cat, Feather, needs a new place to live. Could Gaby adopt her when she’s not even sure what home means?
