Local jazz harp legend Destiny Muhammad presents her new work Rosie Lee Tompkins: Guided by Something More Powerful, an improvised sonic suite inspired by the art of Rosie Lee Tompkins, taking place in celebration of the final week of our eponymous exhibition. The work is performed by Muhammad and her trio (Leon Joyce, Jr. on drums and percussion, and Arthur Chico Lopez on upright bass) with special guest spoken word artist Kevin Jeffrey. This premiere will be livestreamed from the gallery where Tompkins’s work is hanging, and will be followed by a live question and answer session with the performers.
